Becoming a Children’s Yoga Teacher: My Training at triyoga with Susannah Hoffman

Ever since I became a yoga teacher, I’ve felt drawn to working with children. A friend once told me he wished he’d learned yoga as a kid—it might have helped him make more sense of his emotions. That idea stuck with me. And after becoming a mum, it became even clearer: what a gift it would be for kids to grow up with tools to help grow their confidence and self worth, which would ripple out into the world.

So I signed up for the Teaching Yoga to Children training at triyoga with Susannah Hoffman—and honestly, it was everything I hoped for and more.

Susannah is the kind of teacher who leads with both wisdom and heart. Her experience in children’s yoga is incredible, but what really stood out was how she creates such a nurturing, playful space to learn in. She helped us explore how to teach yoga to children of all ages—from babies to teens—in a way that’s engaging, supportive, and fun.

I came away feeling not just equipped to teach, but also more connected to why I do this work in the first place. The course was practical, inspiring, and surprisingly reflective—it helped me grow as a teacher and as a person. Plus, it covered all the essentials like DBS checks, first aid, and insurance, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

Now, I’m excited to begin teaching kids and sharing everything I’ve learned. If you’re thinking about taking this path, I couldn’t recommend Susannah’s training enough. It’s a beautiful, heart-led experience—and I’m so grateful to be starting this new chapter.
